History:

After the Second World War there was an injection of young blood, which helped to revitalise Newman Brothers. Among those who joined Newman Brothers after the war was John Kellett. He began as a commercial traveller, but eventually becoming director. He was responsible for introducing Aston Villa and Birmingham City shrouds to appeal to a new clientele. It comes as no surprise that John Kellett was also a big Aston Villa supporter, as were a few of the directors, including Joseph Doggart.
