History:

Jospeh Doggart was a director at W.L. Doggart & Son as well as Newman Brothers. We also know that Joseph was a keen Aston Villa fan and travelled regularly from Belfast to watch them play.

The Shareholders

Joseph Doggart and his two brothers, William and Henry were major shareholders at Newman Brothers until 1973 when they sold their 15,000 shares. At this point, John Kellett, Dai Davies, Cyril Salt and Joyce Green buy the shares between them, with them now becoming major shareholders. Joyce Green, final owner of Newman Brothers had 13% of company shares at this point.
